Zach had to work so he can take time off when baby comes so he commuted 40 minutes to work every day. What a guy! The best part of my day was our evening family pontoon rides.
Bottle on the boat.
The girls checking out the cottages...
Lov'n it!
Enjoying some Care-cuddles...
Ready to play!
Carrie got to watch a show instead of take a nap during quiet time...as you can see she clearly needed a nap. :-)
Zach had a meeting scheduled so we invited the families of the members of the committee out for dinner and fun. Here are the kiddos enjoying dinner.
Care kayaking!
Daddy and Care swimming in the deep water on a pontoon ride.
Our dear friends, the Gibbons family, came from Jarvis for the weekend. This is their third summer coming and we love our time together. Below Chuck is letting loose jumping off the pontoon.
Their son, Travis, and Carrie just being silly.
A typical meal- while all the adults try to eat before a spill inevitably happens.
Kid shot!
Adult shot! This was us after a competitive game of croquette, in which I dominated! (Just had to put that in in case Chuck is reading) ;-)Family shot in the water.
Relaxing in the deep water together....oh yeah.
The guys chill'n after an evening pontoon ride. Unfortunately their chill time didn't last long since it was bed time for the kids and Brandy and I needed their help.A morning Bagg-O game.
Thanks so much for coming guys! We had a blast and always enjoy the laughter and ease of our time together. We miss you guys are are looking forward to next summer already!
Another highlight of the cottage was inviting my aunt, cousin and mom out for a day to have our annual CougarBee! Below Lydia and Hudson are posing...
My girls needed a nap after all the fun of the morning...
My cousin and friend, Lindsey and I, who are due a little over a about a month apart.
Lindsey got more pics and I'll post when I get copies.
Laughter is always inevitable with this girl around. :-)
Below Si is enjoying one of the MANY popsicles we ate.
Some of the kids cousins came out a couple days. Here's a shot of the kids enjoying some down time.My friend, Heidi, and her three kids came out for a day. Below Lydia is looking after Adelyn who is only 10 weeks old.
This guy was fearless in the water. He kept me on my toes the whole time we were there and I said a lot of extra prayers for God's protection for him in the water.
The kids loved their evening "naked bum" swim.We got a storm one of the last nights. Here is the beautiful sky after the storm passed...so beautiful.
What a great 2 weeks! Thank you so much Mom and Dad for sharing your cottage with us so graciously! We had a wonderful time and made many wonderful memories we will treasure.
Hi Kasey! It's so fun keeping up with your blog and seeing how you guys are doing! Ok, Lydia's note SOOOOO impressed me!!! I think she's my Esther's age (wasn't she born early 2012?) and Esther can TOTALLY not do her letters. Granted, I haven't really spent time on it (figure she'll learn in school :) ) but MAN lady, impressive!!! It's great that Lydia can write her letters! Did she actually know how to spell all those words too?
