August Pics

Here are some random pics from this past month.
The girls reading together- this brings us so much joy!
Carrie's little personality is coming out a lot lately- along with many new words and phrases each week! When she is trying to be funny she raises her eyes with a big smirk.
Lydia wearing some of our winter gear.
We went to a party to celebrate Zach's grandparents 60th wedding anniversary. Below Silas is wishing them a blessed anniversary.
Smiling Si...
The girls and I have been doing a lot of painting projects- their and my favorite has been painting rocks outside.
Building forts.
A couple cute pics of Silas.

Care and I taking a selfie, or should I say, "Us-ie."
Daddy and Si again- as you can see Silas has become a self soother with his thumb.
Lydia with her new Fedora.
Our smiling sweetie.
Our neighbor, Miss Geri, doing puzzles with the girls.
Silas' first Bumbo sit!
What a smile for 8:00 in the morning!
More puzzles...
Some friend of ours from Canada visited for an afternoon. It was fun to catch up and see how each others' kids have grown. Below Adrian and Lydia are hanging out.
Carrie and Len.
Lydia LOVES to hold her "sweetie beetie" (her words).
We had some countertop put in and it was pretty loud at times. Care was snuggling with me when it got pretty loud.
Just a cute picture of Si.
Reading with Daddy.
All three kids awake and looking in the same direction! This is the first and only time it has happened!
Matching outfits- so cute I had to include it.
Another month has come and gone! Onto September...

Play Dates

We had some fun playdates this past month. One morning we were invited to some friends of ours from church. Below Lyddi and Amanda are working a puzzle.
Below Miss Deb and Carrie working a puzzle too.
They have a trampoline which, as you can see, was a BIG hit for Lydia.
Care wasn't too pumped at first...
But after a few minutes she got the hang of it and had a blast.
We had another friend from church over. Danielle came to play with the girls for a morning.
We heading to the Conference Grounds to visit our friends who were camping there. We brought the girls' bikes and they had a lot of fun biking with their friends.
It was pretty cold so we had to wrap Silas in Daddy's sweatshirt-- so cute!
Our mini-Yoda.
Here are the kids having dinner together.
Thanks for having us Steve and Jules!

Jarvis Visitors

Our dear friends, Pete and Ev came for their annual visit this past month. They were the girls Canadian grandparents while we lived in Jarvis. We all get along super well and it's just so easy having them around!
We went to my folks house for the day to swim. It was a lot of fun and very relaxing. (I liked the ratio of adults to kids.) :-)
Cutie Care...
Here we are at Russ' for dinner.
Ev, Si and me.
Heading back to the car. I love how quickly the girls took to them both.
Thanks for coming guys! It was fun catching up, re-connecting and having you meet Silas. We look forward to it next year.

Fair!

Some friends of ours show animals at a local annual fair and they invited us out for the morning. We started out at the petting zoo. The girls were pumped for the popcorn snack break.
Posing in a big tire.

Si attended his first fair, and his first stroller ride- which he only enjoyed for about 10 minutes. He much prefers being held.
One of the MANY cows we saw...

"Moo!"
Kim kindly offered to hold Silas for me so I could tend to the girls. He took his nap right on schedule.
The highlight of the fair was definitely the corn box. The girls had a BLAST playing in there. It was pretty great- like a massage for your feet when you walk on it.
