Baby Update!

Wow, 17 weeks already- almost half way there! This pregnancy is flying by! I'm feeling well- very thankful to be out of the first trimester. Here is the baby bump thus far...
This picture has nothing to do with the baby- just too cute not to share. :-)

Snow!

Recently, we had a large snowfall in our area. It is so much fun to see the delight and jubilation on our girls' faces at the sight of freshly fallen snow! It takes a good 10 minutes to get the girls bundled for the outing. Here they are, all ready to go!
Lydia likes to eat it as much as she like to play in it!

Daddy took Care on her first sled ride. As you can hear, she is giggling with delight!
Lydia had to hop on that ride!
 Let it snow!

Failed Photo Shoots

Whenever I can, I try to get cute pictures of the girls together. But at the precious ages of 1 and 2, sitting for pictures isn't exactly their favorite thing to do. Nevertheless, we keep trying!
Lydia: "Mom, I really don't want to be doing this..."

Care: "Oh! Are we taking pictures now?"
Care: "Oh Lyddi, I sure love you."
Both: "Just take the picture already!"
 On another occasion...
Care: "Nooooooo!!!!"

 Care: "Nooooooo!!!!"
 Care: "Noooooooooooooo!!!!"
 On yet another occasion...
Whamp...
 Whamp...
 Whamp!
Oh well, another failure- but the bloopers are still pretty cute.

Canning Time!

We spent a day canning apples- nothing like having fresh applesauce throughout the winter.
Lydia was happy to test out several of the apples.

My friend, Anna, came to help out with the process.

Trunk or Treat!

This Halloween we went to two Trunk or Treats. With our kids ages, it's much easier to walk 5-10 steps to each trunk than traveling house to house. Lydia was a chicken and Carrie was a Care Bear- very fitting.
Lyddi and some of her cousins at one of the Trunk or Treats.

 Chicken Lyddi!
 Seriously cute.
We ended the night back at our house with our friends warming up with hot chocolate and some good books.

Misc. October pics...

Below are just a few cute pics from around the house. Usually Zach has already left for work by the time the girls wake up. But one morning he either was running late or they woke up early (I can't remember), but he got to bring them both down. So sweet!

Fall Fun!

With the weather getting colder, we are taking advantage of any afternoons we can still get outside to play. Below are several pictures of us enjoying the fall, crisp weather.
The girls both love going to walks- not in a stroller- just walks. So we often take a walk to the end of the block and back.
On one particular day I brought my good camera out because it was beautiful. Below is a picture of the fall colors and awesome blue sky. I wish we could enjoy this year-round.

My mom and dad made a Costco run for us and came by to drop off our items. They drove up as we were on a walk so my mom popped out and finished the walk with Carrie.
Grandpa M put both girls in a tree for a picture- They thought it was pretty awesome!

 Grandpa goof'n around...
Here we are heading to our neighbor's house for a play date. We bring a stroller on this walk because it is a bit of a hike for Carrie to walk the whole way. Lydia is always quick to offer her pushing services.
Lyddi is really into soccer. Here she is practicing her dribbling.

Here we are another afternoon raking leaves.
And playing in leaves!
Cousin fun!

The girls have spent a lot of time playing in their sandbox. What a great project that was!

Robinettes!

We spent a lovely morning at Robinettes Apple Orchard for some fun, fall activities with Dad, Tracy and Hannah (Cal was at a band event). Below is our lil' pumpkin next to a very big pumpkin!
Lydia LOVED the jumping pillow- a big outdoor trampoline activity for the kids.
We all enjoyed a hayride around the orchards.
Extended family shots.

Fall Zoo Trips and Friends!

This past month we got a couple 'end of season' zoo trips in before the weather gets too cold. Our first trip was with some new friends who recently moved here. They have 4 children and their youngest, Daena, and Lyddi get along really well. Below is a cool shot of Daena in front of a tiger.
Lyddi and Daena checking out the bear.
I took a picture of the sky because it was a gorgeous day- not too hot or cold. And I know I will miss these beautiful skies come February.
Another fun outing was getting together with two of my long-time friends for a very belated birthday dinner. I also used this outing to announce our pregnancy... it's always so fun to see friends' reactions to the news in person! We enjoyed a delicious meal, and lots of laughs...a great night.
My cousin and dear friend, Lindsey, and her son, Hudson, were in town for a visit so we were able to spend a day at the zoo with them as well- what a treat! The kids got along great and we had a wonderful time chatting and re-connecting.

 Our little monkey.

Hudsy in front of the tiger. -Don't worry, there is a big glass wall between the two of them. :-)
 "We're having so much fun!"
