Fall Fun!

With the weather getting colder, we are taking advantage of any afternoons we can still get outside to play. Below are several pictures of us enjoying the fall, crisp weather.
The girls both love going to walks- not in a stroller- just walks. So we often take a walk to the end of the block and back.
On one particular day I brought my good camera out because it was beautiful. Below is a picture of the fall colors and awesome blue sky. I wish we could enjoy this year-round.

My mom and dad made a Costco run for us and came by to drop off our items. They drove up as we were on a walk so my mom popped out and finished the walk with Carrie.
Grandpa M put both girls in a tree for a picture- They thought it was pretty awesome!

 Grandpa goof'n around...
Here we are heading to our neighbor's house for a play date. We bring a stroller on this walk because it is a bit of a hike for Carrie to walk the whole way. Lydia is always quick to offer her pushing services.
Lyddi is really into soccer. Here she is practicing her dribbling.

Here we are another afternoon raking leaves.
And playing in leaves!
Cousin fun!

The girls have spent a lot of time playing in their sandbox. What a great project that was!

Robinettes!

We spent a lovely morning at Robinettes Apple Orchard for some fun, fall activities with Dad, Tracy and Hannah (Cal was at a band event). Below is our lil' pumpkin next to a very big pumpkin!
Lydia LOVED the jumping pillow- a big outdoor trampoline activity for the kids.
We all enjoyed a hayride around the orchards.
Extended family shots.

Fall Zoo Trips and Friends!

This past month we got a couple 'end of season' zoo trips in before the weather gets too cold. Our first trip was with some new friends who recently moved here. They have 4 children and their youngest, Daena, and Lyddi get along really well. Below is a cool shot of Daena in front of a tiger.
Lyddi and Daena checking out the bear.
I took a picture of the sky because it was a gorgeous day- not too hot or cold. And I know I will miss these beautiful skies come February.
Another fun outing was getting together with two of my long-time friends for a very belated birthday dinner. I also used this outing to announce our pregnancy... it's always so fun to see friends' reactions to the news in person! We enjoyed a delicious meal, and lots of laughs...a great night.
My cousin and dear friend, Lindsey, and her son, Hudson, were in town for a visit so we were able to spend a day at the zoo with them as well- what a treat! The kids got along great and we had a wonderful time chatting and re-connecting.

 Our little monkey.

Hudsy in front of the tiger. -Don't worry, there is a big glass wall between the two of them. :-)

September Fun!

It's fun to remember all the activities we did in a month by looking through the pictures. I honestly wouldn't remember most of it without the pictures as a reminder. Below are a bundle of misc. pictures from the past month. Our cutie Care after a bath.
One of the girls favorite activities is giving each other, and anyone else who is willing, doctor check-ups. Dr. Lyddi is checking patient, Carrie's, heart with her stethoscope.
Matching outfits- couldn't resist a picture.
Lydia and her buddy, Dana, after a fun morning at the For the Kidz gym.
Posing outside before heading to another toddler time open gym with friends.
 Swings...oh boy!!
Sandy Ride at the Cookie Store! (Meijers)
Lydia talking to Daddy after a delicious breakfast out at Denny's.
After our Family Bible time we have "Daddy Rough-House Time!" The girls love playing with Daddy!
 What a honey...
 Laundry basket fun.
Have you seen Lyddi or Care?!
These two tend to end up in bins and baskets together...
 Preparing some coffee for Mamma.
Care's first swing ride! As you can tell, it was a hit!
Oh, how we love those giggles.
Well, there's some fun September pictures. On to October!

Photo Shoot Fail.

With 2 kids, ages 2 and 1, it is tough to get a picture in which they are both looking at the camera. It is amazing to get one in which they are both looking at the camera and smiling! We don't always get what we want. Below are pictures of a failed photo attempt, but still pretty cute and funny. :-)
Attempt #1: Scrunchy face and thumb sucking....
Attempt #2: Care coming to get ya!
Attempt #3: Lyddi giving Carrie the 'eye' and Care falling off the couch!
 Attempt #4: Over here Care!
Whamp Whamp Whamp... ;-)

So Fun To Be One!!

Hard to believe our sweet Care turned 1 a couple weeks ago. September 24 marked her official birthday. We planned a party at a park but due to wet weather we changed locations to my parent's house (who graciously hosted- thank you!). We invited all Carrie's cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents and great-grandparents. It was a full house! Zach, Lyddi and I made and decorated cupcakes for the occasion.

Below I am opening Carrie's presents for her. It was a bit, uh...intense opening presents with 14 young kids wanted to help and slowly scooting closer and closer, but what a gift to celebrate with so many friends. Care was showered with many wonderful new books, and fun toys to help her learn.
 The pizza table.
 Care receiving her birthday cupcake!
The birthday girl... our 1 year old.
Auntie Jayne rocked by organizing some games for everyone to play. Below the kids are keeping balloons in the air with spatulas.
Care, we thank God each day for entrusting us with the responsibility and joy of bringing you up. This past year you have grown and changed so much. You are learning more each day! We promise to continue to do our best, with God's help, to teach you about Him and the world around you. Keep smiling honey- you never know who's day you will brighten! We love you Care Bear!!
Below are some recent cute pics of Care...
