Hard to believe our sweet Care turned 1 a couple weeks ago. September 24 marked her official birthday. We planned a party at a park but due to wet weather we changed locations to my parent's house (who graciously hosted- thank you!). We invited all Carrie's cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents and great-grandparents. It was a full house! Zach, Lyddi and I made and decorated cupcakes for the occasion.
Below I am opening Carrie's presents for her. It was a bit, uh...intense opening presents with 14 young kids wanted to help and slowly scooting closer and closer, but what a gift to celebrate with so many friends. Care was showered with many wonderful new books, and fun toys to help her learn.

Care, we thank God each day for entrusting us with the responsibility and joy of bringing you up. This past year you have grown and changed so much. You are learning more each day! We promise to continue to do our best, with God's help, to teach you about Him and the world around you. Keep smiling honey- you never know who's day you will brighten! We love you Care Bear!!
