Lydia's baptism

April 15 marked Lydia's baptism. We were so thankful some of our family was able to come and witness the special event. Mom and Dad M were the first to arrive. Here Grandpa is holding his 9th grandchild for the first time.

Mom O was the next to arrive-getting some quality time with her first grandchild.

Everyone else arrived as the afternoon progressed. Aunt Leeshie meeting Lydia...

Cal had some fun making a hat out of some wrapping paper.

We spent the evening hanging out, chatting, and playing a few games of Catch Phrase. We had quite the cut- throat competition brewing between Mom O and Cal verses Mom M and me.

Hanging out downstairs...

All ready for the morning with Grandma

Mom M held Lydia during the service- she didn't make a peep- just a few grunts. :-)

It was really neat because Zach had the joy of baptizing Lydia himself. There were quite a few tear-filled eyes...including both of ours.

Anytime Zach does a baptism he wears a blue tie if it's a boy and a pink tie if it's a girl. So for Lydia's baptism we bought him a new bright pink tie. Then I asked a friend of mine to sew Lydia's name and the date on the inside as a surprise to Zach.

Dad M took some videos of the baptism with his i-phone.

We got 10 cakes to celebrate the special day and for the church family to enjoy.

After the service we had a bit of a photo shoot getting picture of everyone who came.

Mom and Dad M with us.

Mom O with us.

Uncle John, Aunt Joan, Gina and us.

Mom O, Alicia, Ben and us.

Dad O, Tracy, Alicia, Cal, Hannah and us.

Dad O with his little lady...

Pastor Cal gave us a good laugh. :-)

Thank you so much for coming out to be a part of this special day! We had a great time hanging out with you all and you're welcome back anytime!
