June...FINALLY!

So here we go... catch up time! I'm a good 4 months behind- that's what 4 kids in 5 years will do to ya. Here is June! Below the kids are doing some outdoor art.

We took a trip to a nearby park with a beach and Joy got to experience sand for the first time!
You know it's summer when there are home-made popsicles!
Daddy and Joy having fun!
This picture needs some explaining. So, when JoyAnna nursed she had this incredibly annoying habit of pinching and twisting the skin under my arm. It got to the point where I had about 15 itty bitty black and blue marks. What a stinker.
Two beauties ready for church.
Joy's first swim!!
We got some read aloud books from the library and the kids loved using their head phones to listen... for about 5 minutes.
My cousin, Lindsey, was visiting from Florida with her two kids. Her youngest, Saylor, and Joy were born a few weeks apart.
You know it's summer when you hear the ice-cream truck!

The best part of a Costco trip is the Costco tower you get to make when you get home!
Strawberry picking!
We ran into some friends while we were picking so the kids had to run down a hill together. :-)
Carrie loves to play her guitar just like Mr. Matt, our worship director at church.
Pretty sure he's gonna make us burn this one some day. :-) Dancing Si!
Group hug before Daddy leaves for work!
Si is our little sugar sneaker. Here he is caught in the act.
Just a quick picture in front of our neighbors beautiful flowers.
We had VBS this month at church. Here is Lydia's hair for Crazy Hair Night!
Carrie decided she wanted to go about 5 minutes before hand so I quickly did her crazy hair too.
And here is what our two little mischief-makers did while I was in the bathroom doing Carrie's hair.

And here they are for hat day!
Good friends of ours were in town and we got to enjoy a quick morning visit with them and their four kids. Yup, that's 8 kids total.
We miss you Bus and Jules!
All four kids dressed and looking in the right direction- that's a winner!
Look out! It's a Carrisaurus!
I celebrated my 35th birthday this month. WHAT?! Anyway, the kids know I like the charms in Lucky Charms so they, and Daddy, secretly pulled all the charms out of 4 boxes to make me an entire bag of charms as a gift!
Face painting at the zoo with cousin Daniel!
And you have to climb on John Ball whenever you visit the zoo.
Isabelle and Carrie in coordinating jams. Too cute.
Another great picture of all 4 kiddos! I get one like this out of every, oh...500 picture attempts. Seriously.

May

We started the month by celebrating Silas' 2nd birthday! It's hard to believe our little guy is 2 already.
He was pretty pumped about his dinosaur cake.

He was super pumped to get his own "baball oop!"
What a handsome little man.
Si and my dad's birthday are only a few days apart so they got to celebrate together.
This little guy is so funny. We've given him a few different special blankies/lovies for him to bond with and he didn't really take to any of them. What he prefers is pulling his sheet off his crib and using that as his lovey. What a funny guy.
 Carrie playing Mamma Mary.
 Popcorn and a show time!
Joy's first time riding in a cart- could shopping get any better?!
We had a raccoon living under our deck so we called Pest Control to have it removed. It was very exciting to wake up and check the trap to find a raccoon!
Can you see him in there?

An anual carnival came to town so we just had to plan a trip. Here we are pulling in...
What a great place to spend an absurd amount on money in about 45 minutes. Yikes. But the kids had a blast.
Just trying to get a quick picture before church. Si wasn't into it.
Taking a walk to meet Daddy on his way home from work. Si wasn't too thrilled.
Making food faces for snack one morning...

A cute picture at Frederick Meijer Gardens.
We always stop at the "Mad Girl" statue and imitate it.
Trying to get a group shot.

Joy learned to pull herself up on things! Way to go Joy Joy!!
Having a meal after a fun swim!
 A morning art project.
We had a neighborhood garage sale so we decided to set up a lemonade stand. Carrie helped paint it.
All set up and ready to go!
Just a sweet smile from JoyAnna.
Daddy getting some early morning cuddles from the girls...who were supposed to be in bed.
 Playing dress-up at a friend's house.
Joy Joy playing peek-a-book with cousin Daniel.
Joy and Mama ready for church.
Lydia finished off her pre-school class. Here she is at the end of the year program with her teacher, Miss Amy.
The girls also had a field day they got to participate in. We met some friends there who have a son Silas' age. So the boys cheered on their sisters from the stroller.

Go Lyddi go!
Carrie taking a break after all the fun.
Enjoying a picnic lunch with our friends after the fun morning.
 Carpenter Lydia!
 And carpenter Silas!
Carrie and Lydia did my hair one morning- not bad!
 Styl'n kids!
Another pic all ready for church.
Joy swinging for the first time!
The girls checking out the water at a park one day.
Si had to get in on it too.
Joy enjoyed the beautiful weather too.
A big event this month was celebrating Pentecost! Here we are wearing our tongues of fire while reading the story after a delicious breakfast.

 Joy even got to participate!
 Big brother Si...
Getting some reading in whenever I can...
Wahoo! All 4 kids! All looking in the same direction!
And we got a family shot- what a great picture day for our family!
Zach gave Silas his first buzz cut. We had to put on a show for him to sit still, and the girls didn't want to miss out on that. He sat super still and did great.
On to June!
