July Fly By...

This month flew by! Below are some pictures of life this past month.
Cutie Care sporting a head band.
Our sweet Si...
What a smile!
Tummy Time.
The girls and two of their cousins showing off the carrots they pulled from our garden!
Ice Cream Truck visit!!! Cousins just happened to have stopped by when the ice-cream truck came by- what timing!
Care swimming in her pool.
Lydia can now get dressed all by herself! When she first did it she was so excited she put on all of her skirts at once!
She even started putting Daddy's shirts on!
Si just chill'n.
Daddy and his girls getting ready to play in the sprinkler!
There they go!
All that play made Si pretty tired.
Lydia getting some lov'n from her Grandma and Grandpa Koots at the pool.
Where did Lyddi go?
Snow cones on a hot sunny day...does it get any better?
The girls all ready for church.
Mamma and her girls.
Bath smiles!

A family Costco trip- Grandma Koots with some of her precious jewels.
A year ago I had a playdate with my friend, Heidi, the day she delivered her second son, Cameron (sitting in front).

And we had this playdate on his first birthday. So we had to celebrate with some cake. The kids were thrilled- though you wouldn't know it from this picture. :-)
Lydia having fun with some masking tape.
Big Sis Lid holding her little brother.
Onto August!

Cottage!

We spent a week at my parents' cottage for vacation this summer. It was a busy, fun week.
We invited some friends over for an afternoon. Here are all the kids eating lunch.
All ready for a boat ride!
Ms. Aileen, the baby whisperer. :-)
We enjoyed a LOT of playing around while we were there.
We also did a LOT of fishing, with nets and poles. Lydia caught a fish on her very first cast!
Our little fisher!
We tried to go for a pontoon ride every evening. This was the girls favorite spot.
Precious.
Zach and Lyddi enjoying morning devotions together.
Care enjoying one of the many cottage treats!
One afternoon Lydia decided she wanted to be a clown!
Baking cookies with Daddy.
Si enjoyed the cottage too, although most of his time was spent sleeping. Here big sis, Carrie, is holding him...he's not too pumped as you can see.
Our good friends from Jarvis came for the weekend. It was so great catching up with them and seeing how their kids have grown.
Tubing! Lydia gave it a shot with me...for about 8 seconds...then she was done.
Lyddi and Travis on their pillow towers.
Mamma and Si about to go on a boat ride.
Chuck and Brandi enjoying the relaxation...
Brandi and I were able to get away for a walk- it felt so good to exercise while connecting, uninterrupted, with my dear friend.
The Gibbons boys hanging out on the Sea Doo.
Playing in the water!
One night Lydia and Travis set the table for the kids to eat outside. :-)
We did a LOT of crafts while there.
Another fun week at the cottage!

Kubusson Annual Gathering!

Our friends, The Kuperus' were visiting from Iowa so we had our annual gathering with the three families: The Kuperus', The Bussis', and The Olsons...which I name mashed into, The Kubussons!
The moms after a delightful pedicure. Thanks guys for watching the kids!
We all went to Dordt together.
The Dads, who all attended Westminster together, hanging out.
Lunch time. The total kid count this year was 10- with one more on the way!
Care and Cambrie...born a couple weeks apart.
Si and Sky (Skylar), born a couple weeks apart, meeting each other for the first time.
Thanks for another great morning together. It is always a treat spending time with the Kubusson Clan!

B-17 Bomber

Earlier this month Zach fulfilled a lifelong dream of flying on his favorite plane, a B-17 Bomber. Zach really likes learning about planes and when he stumbled across the opportunity to fly on one of the seven remaining flying B-17 Bombers, he had to take it!

I told him he had to ask someone to take a picture of him in front of it. So here it is. When I asked Zach what he would like to write about his experience his words were simply, "It was AWESOME!"
Bucket List: Fly on a B-17 Bomber...Check!
