Wow, mid August already?! Between un-packing and getting settled, watching Lyddi, trying to get naps in when I can, get togethers, and fun summer activities...time is flying by. Here's what we've been up to lately. Lyddi and I went to the zoo with my dear buddy, Laura, and her son, Carter. Lyddi really enjoyed her first zoo visit. Her favorites were the monkeys and fish!

Group shot at the end of the day. It was quite special because Laura and I took Carter on his first zoo visit when he was a little guy and nine years later, we are keeping the tradition going of enjoying our kids first zoo visits together.
We've been hanging out at our house a lot lately, getting unpacked and organized. Lyddi has been exploring her new surrounding too. Here she is putting ear plugs in her ears.
We do a LOT of reading at our place.

Another favorite is going for bike rides. I am proud to say I am still able to go with Daddy and Lyddi, although only a few minutes at a time.

Another highlight of summer is getting to play with cousins. My mom bought these adorable dresses for all the grand daughters.
